Dear beloved in Christ,
Good morning!
I am thankful that for now our lives and hearts can be knit together in this way. It is encouraging that though we are not together we can connect and be blessed with the same biblical truths, prayers and songs. We are looking forward to meeting again very soon. God bless you and your family on this Lord’s Day.

O For A Thousand Tongues to Sing
Scripture Reading to read or to listen. Luke 7:11-17
11 Soon afterward[a] he went to a town called Nain, and his disciples and a great crowd went with him. 12 As he drew near to the gate of the town, behold, a man who had died was being carried out, the only son of his mother, and she was a widow, and a considerable crowd from the town was with her. 13 And when the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her and said to her, “Do not weep.” 14 Then he came up and touched the bier, and the bearers stood still. And he said, “Young man, I say to you, arise.” 15 And the dead man sat up and began to speak, and Jesus[b] gave him to his mother. 16 Fear seized them all, and they glorified God, saying, “A great prophet has arisen among us!” and “God has visited his people!” 17 And this report about him spread through the whole of Judea and all the surrounding country.

O My Soul
Truth for Today
Stand in awe of the power of God! From the creation of the universe to sustaining all things the power of God is displayed.
Life is ordained by God. He gives life and in His great wisdom and power ends life. To make sure we do not think He does not have control of life, death, time and eternity He commands the dead man of Luke chapter seven to rise from the dead. His power is beyond our comprehension.
Death is final for all humanity unless God says otherwise. The body goes into the grave, decays and turns to dust unless God says otherwise. And to be sure, God does say otherwise.
The power of Christ is earth shaking. He shakes the earth and He shakes us to the very core causing us to come unraveled by His power and blazing glory. We are shocked by what we see happening in Luke chapter seven. True miracles are shocking. There is no human explanation for a dead man being raised to life again.
Oh how some wish they could know and see God. For those who so desire, behold His glory in the person of the Lord Jesus Christ, Emmanuel, Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:23, “God with us.”
See the compassion of our great God on the mourning widow mother in raising her son. See this magnitude of unprecedented power being displayed to the multitude. God was revealing Himself for all to see. Do you see Him? Will you trust Him for the days ahead? He promises that you too will rise by His power from the dead. Fear not!
Eternal life is promised to all but not all have the same destination. Jesus said , “Do not marvel at this, for an hour is coming when all who are in the tombs will hear his voice and come out. “John 5:28. In Matthew 25:46 Jesus says some “will go away into everlasting punishment , but the righteous into eternal life.”
Those who are declared righteous through faith, trust alone in the Lord Jesus Christ will be raised to eternal life to the glories of heaven with their Savior. Those who reject God’s forgiveness in Christ alone will go into everlasting punishment.
May Jesus cause your soul to live by His power and give you forgiveness through faith alone in Him.
